This week I went down to the “New Zone Gallery” on E 11th Ave in Eugene on Sunday the 28th. I originally went down because they had a train graffiti exhibit advertised but they didn’t have it up anymore because they were switching the exhibits for the next month. This is a gallery that exhibits art from lots of local artists.  This photo shows a wall of different paintings from three different artists. Robin Marks-Fife on the left, Carolyn Bloom in the middle, and Joy Taubner on the right.  Robin Marks-Fife’s paintings are “Clouds over hte ocean” (Left up) “Baja Tropical Fish” (left bottom) “Sheep in the forest” (Big Left Middle) “Backyard on the coast fork” (Middle Top) and “May Roses”  (Middle Bottom). Then we have Carolyns Bloom’s painting “Sea of Dreams” (Middle ocean painting). Roy Taubners two paintings are on the far right with “In  silence we smooth the wave of thoughts” on the left and “Have a seat” on the right.  This week I was trapped in my house due to the snow and ice storm that hit last weekend so I wasn’t able to travel around as much as i wanted this week. I was mainly taking photos of my pets and the icy plants once I could somewhat safely leave my house without the risk of slipping.  This is a photo of my cat Lucki. She decided to join me when I went outside on Sunday when I went to go take photos this week and she was such a high contrast to the white icy snow that it made it a great photo. I also found it very fun to have this fluffy black blob pop out against this blank white background. She was not a happy kitty due to how cold it was but she wasn’t going inside until I went inside. This I’m classifying a medium shot and there’s no making me budge on this.  This is my close up shot of a Japanese Pine that we have in our backyard that was covered in the ice and snow. The ice was so thick and really thickened up the pine needles and it really let me capture the detail of the ice cry

I’ve been taking photos for as long as I can remember but I started taking photos professionally since my junior year of high school when I took my first photography class. During that class I developed a love of taking nature photos and wildlife photos, with a new found passion of micro-photography but I’m willing to branch out if my comfort zone from time to time. I decided to take this class so that I can learn more about how I can incorporate my photos into my career even if I don’t go the route of making photojournalism my job. I also enjoy to travel round to museums and explore history and art so being able to wander around and take photos of things that I enjoy and being able to bring attention to theses objects or places that I find interesting.  Some goals that I have for this class is how to properly format blog posts so
