Week 3 Post

This week I went down to the “New Zone Gallery” on E 11th Ave in Eugene on Sunday the 28th. I originally went down because they had a train graffiti exhibit advertised but they didn’t have it up anymore because they were switching the exhibits for the next month. This is a gallery that exhibits art from lots of local artists.

This photo shows a wall of different paintings from three different artists. Robin Marks-Fife on the left, Carolyn Bloom in the middle, and Joy Taubner on the right.  Robin Marks-Fife’s paintings are “Clouds over hte ocean” (Left up) “Baja Tropical Fish” (left bottom) “Sheep in the forest” (Big Left Middle) “Backyard on the coast fork” (Middle Top) and “May Roses”  (Middle Bottom). Then we have Carolyns Bloom’s painting “Sea of Dreams” (Middle ocean painting). Roy Taubners two paintings are on the far right with “In  silence we smooth the wave of thoughts” on the left and “Have a seat” on the right.

These paintings are down with Betsy Huffsmith painting “Love Rising” on the left and Steve Seals on the right with their two paintings “The art center in Springfield” in the middle and “ThistleDown farm market on the right.”

These photos are done by Barbora Bakalarova with her photo called “From the life of poppies” right in front.

They seem to be changing up who their main artist is every month and have many different events that they do, the next big one is the “Zone 4 All” which is a Non Juried open to the public art show going on from March 1st through the 29th where artists with 2D pieces 36” that’s framed can pay $15 entry fee, per piece, that will be displayed in the gallery.  This final photo isn’t apart of the assignment but it’s the information for this event if anyone is interest in joining it.
